After the podcast editing has been finished,I start on completing all of the project document such as the treatment, script,sound design statement and the project blog.
Everything is going pretty while as the hardest part which is the podcast has been completed.
I have sent the script of my radio interview to Toula so she can check its content and structure and correct its imperfection.She responded that my radio script structure is fine but there are few grammar corrections needed for the content.
So, I corrected everything and finished all of the project documentation.
I also rechecked the podcast just in case if there is some problem with the sound.
Luckily, everything is okay.
I just wish all the best for all of my assignment result.

The Editing
Week 11
After finished the recording, I start on the editing of the interview during week 11.
The editing process was not really difficult. I used garage band to merge the interview with sound elements such as music instrumental, sound of hands clapping and,etc. I did not use a lot of sound effect for this podcast due to the efficiency and the topic itself. The topic of this podcast is cyberbullying, which is a pretty serious topic. In my opinion, if I used too much sound effect, it will ruin the mood of the interview. As I have watched in several talk show which dealing with serious problem, they don't use a lot of catchy sound effects. They just use the common one such as hand clapping or audience laughter.
I just hope that the editing result will be great as my expectation.

Start Recording
As I have talked in the previous post about the interviewee character( both bully and victim). I have started on searching the character by the time I wrote the treatment. It was pretty difficult to find a character during the holiday season as most of my friends are going back to their home country.
Fortunately, I have found two of my friends who can perfectly play as the victim and bully characters.
I recorded the interview two days before the New year's Eve. I took two days because I recorded it separately between the victim and the bully's interview.
The interview progress is not really difficult as I though. Honestly, It is a way easier rather than filming the video. Especially, by the advancement and simplicity in recording device by Iphone4.
The professional cooperation with the character also help me to finish this project more easily. One of the character is often perform in stage, so he is already get used to acting in front of the camera. As this project is a non visual interview, it makes him easier to improve, especially with his voice tones.
Hopefully, everything will going pretty well as I still need to do some editing.

Encounter the Difficulty
As I just change my project from video to radio interview due the the group problem, I encountered some difficulties during the progress of making this podcast.
Firstly, radio interview is a new field for me because I have not learned it in my previous semester.
Hence, before the making of the interview, I have to do some research about it and find people to play the victim and the bully character. However,Vincent Lie helped me a lot by giving some ideas for my radio interview project which makes me feel more confident to do this individual project.
Moreover,another difficulty is the script for the video and radio interview is pretty different. At the first time I really had no idea how the radio script supposed to be. Even though I have roughly created the treatment draft for the interview, but it was not quite clear after I compared it with the radio script of Edna Lavilla that given by Toula. Hence, I need to change everything in order to get the best result for my radio interview project. I feel so anxious for this individual project as it seems pretty big for me while the due date is drawing near.
Fortunately, support that given by Toula who gave me some help while creating the script and the document project and Vincent who helped me during the editing is really boost my confidence to do my best for this project.

The interview for this podcast is not a real interview. To make it more engaging and appealing for the audience, I choose to use script interview instead.
There will be two characters as the interviewee. As this podcast topic is about cyberbullying, the guests will be the victim and the bully.
The character and personality between two of them will be different.
For the bully, I choose a guy with the strong and high tune voice to play the character.
The Bully character will be more defensive as he will defend himself several times during the interview. However, there will be mix of the defensive attitude, guilt feeling and regretful in the bully character. For the further personality of the bully, he is just a normal person with a common high school teenager's attitude who is looking for acceptance in their community.Unfortunately, his attempt to get acceptance caused him engage in cyberbullying which then will be told by the character while I interview him.
In reverse, the character for the victim of cyberbullying will be more introvert, shy and suffer emotionally.
I choose woman to play the bully character because of the woman stereotype who tend to be the victim of cyberbullying.
Moreover, women usually express their feeling through crying which hopefully can evoke the empathy from the audience while hear it.
The victim suffering will be conveyed through one of the scene while she rejects to continue the interview.
I will play the character for the interviewer. My character is indulgent,maternal and tolerant. As this podcast is my media tool for my social campaign : FIGHT FACEBOOK CYBERBULLYING,hence I have to represent the supportive attitude as the ambassador.
