Podcast ( topic and idea)

WEEK 1

As the requirement for the final assessment in COMM 416, I assigned to do podcast instead of video. Due to the several reasons, this podcast is going to be created individually by myself.

Podcast is a digital audio or video file that is episodic; downloadable; programme-driven, mainly with a host and/or theme; and convenient, usually via an automated feed with computer software (Hammersley,B.2004"The Guardian Newspaper").
I choose to do digital audio podcast instead of video as it is easier to do it.
At the first time, I thought it must be difficult to do it by myself as this is my first time to do the podcast professionally.

It was very confusing to choose the idea for my podcast as I have to entertain the target market with audio rather than visual element.
In this first post,I am going to write about the development and rough idea of the podcast.
For example, about essential elements for this podcast such as the topic and the basic idea how this podcast is going to be develop.

The topic for my podcast is Cyberbullying. As my group's social campaign project is about Fight Cyberbullying in social networking sites, I plan to make my podcast in interview style.

My very rough idea is going to make this podcast just like The Oprah Winfrey's Show. It is going to have its own theme, and it is made in two episodes.

In June 2005, Apple released iTunes 4.9 with native support for podcasts. This program gives an advantage for me to create and develop my podcast as I use Iphone 4. Hopefully, I could create the best podcast to entertain my target market.
